CANLAB reunion & conference!

AUGUST 6-8, 2026

Please mark your calendars - the BC CANLAB reunion & conference is happening!

Thursday evening (Aug 6): Welcome Dinner 6-9pm

This will be a casual dinner at Elizabeth’s house (including outdoor seating, weather permitting). Jon looks forward to doing some cooking, and we will also order in some food from restaurants that have been favorites at lab lunches over the years. For the kids (or kids-at-heart), if weather cooperates, we plan to have a screen set up outside for an outdoor movie night (probably Inside Out 2). Approx 6-9pm. Come by for any/all of the time as your schedule allows.

Friday (Aug 7): talks at Boston college

Return to the BC campus for a day of short talks. Talks, coffee breaks and lunch will be onsite in Gasson 100.

We have space reserved at CitySide for an early dinner (5:30-7:30pm) - chosen since it’s one of the few restaurants in the BC area that’s been around since the first days of CANLAB.

Saturday (Aug 8): Explore Boston and Cambridge together

Because people need flexibility to come-and-go from events, I have set up the following activities. Please come by as fits your schedule:

Morning (9am-11:30am): We have group tickets to the Harvard Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology and its neighboring Harvard Museum of Natural History (These museums are next door to the Harvard MRI center where many of you have spent a lot of time collecting data).

Afternoon:

Evening: We will end our time together with an early (5:30-7:30pm) dinner at Alden & Harlow in Harvard Square.

Hotel Information

The AC Marriott in Cleveland Circle will give a discounted rate (approx. $200/night) if you call and indicate that you are with the Boston College CANLAB reunion. Their rates do fluctuate quite a lot, so it is possible that AAA or another discount you have access to will match that rate if you book online.
